Federico will be speaking about the political philosophy of Social Ecology -
a doctrine espousing a reconstructive, ecological, communitarian, and ethical approach to society - and the state of its fledgling implementation in the Rojava region. We'll be hearing about the deep ecological underpinnings of the doctrine and its integration alongside the principles and aims of permaculture, along with practical examples of how the doctrines are mixing on the ground in Rojava.
Federico has recently returned from Southeast Turkey and will also explain how the newly declared autonomous federation of Rojava in northern Syria and the wider Kurdish struggle is a possible realisation of social ecological ideas and what we can do collectively to aid them in their struggle.
